Brookfield Residential's Home Designs Earn Top Honors at SoCal Awards

SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwired - Oct 9, 2014) - Brookfield Residential has been recognized for building some of the best new homes in San Diego and Riverside counties. The builder's newest San Diego community -- Descanso at Del Sur -- was awarded Best Architectural Design at the 2014 SoCal Awards in Anaheim on September 27. The builder was also awarded Detached Community of the Year for its new Winchester neighborhood, Liberty at Morningstar Ranch.

Founded in 2009, the SoCal Awards presented by the Greater Sales and Marketing Council and Building Industry Association of Southern California, recognizes outstanding new-home design, merchandising, sales and more.

The "staycation" trend inspired the design of Descanso at Del Sur and it's working. Descanso's Residence 2 was specifically recognized at the SoCal Awards for its architectural design, which includes a loggia and large courtyard entry, as well as a craft room for kids off of the kitchen, ideal for Del Sur families.

Also recognized at the 2014 SoCal Awards was Liberty at Morningstar Ranch, which took home a top honor of Detached Community of the Year. Liberty was also awarded Best Interior Merchandising for its Residence 1 design, and Best Architectural Design of a Detached Home for its Residence 3 design.

Liberty offers three different one- and two-story floor plans ranging from 3,120 to 4,157 square feet with four to six bedrooms and 2.5 to 5.5 baths. Homes have large secondary bedrooms, gourmet kitchens, media and bonus rooms, and large outdoor living spaces. Prices start in the high $390,000s.
