Brookfield Asset Management Inc. (NYSE:BAM)(TSX:BAM.A)(EURONEXT:BAMA) announced today that it has agreed to issue C$500 million aggregate principal amount of medium term notes due March 16, 2027 (the "notes") with a coupon of 3.80%, payable semi-annually.
The notes are expected to be assigned a credit rating of A (low) (stable) by DBRS, Baa2 (stable) by Moody's and A- by Standard & Poor's.
The company intends to use the net proceeds of the offering for general corporate purposes.
The notes are being offered through a syndicate of agents led by CIBC World Markets Inc., RBC Dominion Securities Inc. and Scotia Capital Inc.
