Brookstreet Hotel's 8th Lumiere Gala to Benefit Local Children and Youth

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Sept. 2, 2010) - Brookstreet's eighth annual Lumière Gala on Wednesday, Sept. 8, is set to host 500 guests, including prominent members of the National Capital Region's corporate community and sports leaders.

More than $190,000 has been distributed to local charitable organizations from the gala's success over the past seven years. The Sens Foundation will be a beneficiary of this year's event. The mission of the Sens Foundation is to leverage and provide both financial and in-kind support to registered charitable organizations whose programs focus on improving the quality of life for children and youth in eastern Ontario and western Quebec.

Basille and his team at the four-diamond hotel will host noted guests including members of the Ottawa Senators Hockey Club, Robinson and Ottawa Senators president Cyril Leeder.

Lumière begins at 6 p.m., with food and wine stations prepared by Brookstreet's executive chef Clifford Lyness and his culinary team. The gala's master of ceremonies, Sens PA announcer Stuntman Stu of 93.9 BOB FM, will get the official part of the evening underway with introductions. Guests will enjoy silent auctions and live entertainment. The gala concludes at 9 p.m. with a fireworks display.
