Brown & Brown, Inc. Announces the Combination of Apex Insurance Agency, Inc. With Public Risk Underwriters of Georgia, Inc.

DAYTONA BEACH, FL--(Marketwired - March 12, 2015) - Anthony Strianese, Wholesale Division President of Brown & Brown, Inc. (NYSE: BRO), announces that Brown & Brown subsidiaries Apex Insurance Agency, Inc. (lead by Karl F. Snearer) and Public Risk Underwriters of Georgia (lead by Michael H. White) will combine to operate together under the Apex brand. In combination, these organizations place a broad spectrum of public entity, school insurance and risk management solutions for their clients with combined premium of more than $215,000,000 placed in 2014. Mr. White will serve as Senior Vice President reporting to Mr. Snearer.
