Browns Socialhouse Opens First Manitoba Location

WINNIPEG, MANITOBA--(Marketwired - Nov. 25, 2014) - Brothers Kelly and Rob Burns, Browns Socialhouse franchisees, are excited to announce the grand opening of the first Manitoba Socialhouse. Located in the Kildonan Green neighbourhood of Winnipeg, the Socialhouse will be franchisor, Browns Restaurant Group's, 32^nd restaurant in Canada.

Operated by an experienced, passionate and local management team, the new Socialhouse will offer the same premium casual dining experience Browns has become known for, complete with their high quality food program, eclectic design elements and welcoming service in a vibrant yet compact, social space, which the Browns brand has been known for.

With over twenty years of combined restaurant experience, guests of the new location can expect a seamless and enjoyable dining experience under Regional Manager Shane Hardy and General Manager Beau Schell's leadership. Hardy become involved in the restaurant industry in 2008, where he previously owned and operated a sports bar in Regina. In 2012, he was given the opportunity to work within a growing company with a rising brand presence, and became involved with Browns Socialhouse as an owner / operator of the Eastgate, Regina location. In the summer of 2014, Hardy moved to Winnipeg to oversee the expansion of the new Kildonan Green location. Schell has apprenticed at Peasant Cookering and worked previously as a Chef at Food Evolution.

Following through on Browns' passion for delivering the art of exceptional cuisine, Chef Mike Joss will ensure the quality of food and daily kitchen operations at Kildonan Green continues to exceeds Browns' standards and will keep guests coming back to enjoy the menu, time again. Joss has sixteen years of experience in the kitchen and has managed other various kitchens throughout Winnipeg.

The Kildonan Green Browns Socialhouse remains true to their smaller footprint, consisting of a compact 3,300 square feet of restaurant space, with 116 seats inside and a patio with 30 additional seats.
