Brownstein Group (BG), the longest-running independent brand communication firm in Philadelphia, was awarded "Best in Show" at the 2014 Philadelphia ADDY Awards presented by the Philly Ad Club. BG received the top honors for OhMoHeDidnt.com, an interactive website created by Senior Art Director Kenny Kim for Movember, an international charity organization that raises vital funds and awareness to combat prostate and testicular cancers and mental health issues.
OhMoHeDidnt.com chronicles Kim's personal quest to grow a proper mustache throughout the month of November 2013 and features a series of photos along with an interactive zoom lens that allowed viewers to thoroughly inspect his progress, or lack thereof. Though tongue-in-cheek in nature, the website garnered extensive coverage and was able to secure donations for the Movember cause.
"I'm especially chuffed about how varied the winning work was -- high concept print, splashy website, old warhorses like radio and TV, and then to win Best in Show for something so off-beat and singular as OhMoHeDidn't...just aces," said Dan Shepelavy, executive creative director. BG was also awarded seven Gold and seven Silver ADDY awards for work executed on behalf of Comcast, IKEA, Beneficial Bank, Philadelphia Magazine, The Philadelphia Mural Arts program, and for the Agency's proprietary website, BrownsteinGroup.com. BG's honors came in a broad spectrum of media channels including television, print, radio and digital.
