BRP Celebrates 50 Years of Ski-Doo Success With Dealers and Distributors

1,300 dealers, distributors and employees applaud BRP's 2009 Ski-Doo snowmobile line-up

VALCOURT, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - March 5, 2008) - More than 1,300 BRP dealers, distributors and employees from Canada, the United States and as far away as Russia, Iceland and Slovenia took part in the 50th anniversary celebrations of Ski-Doo snowmobiles at Club BRP in Tampa, Florida. From February 28 to March 5, they witnessed how Ski-Doo 2009 new models reinvent snowmobiling yet again.

"Ski-Doo snowmobiles enjoy a 50-year track record of achievements and success in design, innovation and technology," said Jose Boisjoli, president and chief executive officer. This year's 2009 line-up is an invitation to discover snowmobiling. Throughout the past 50 years, people have yearned to enjoy the great outdoors during winter - Ski-Doo has been there offering the best snowmobile suited to their riding style every step of the way," concluded Boisjoli.

This 50th anniversary will be remembered as the year BRP offered snowmobiles to suit everyone's style and choice of engines. The 2009 Ski-Doo line-up brings cleaner and quieter engines with the Rotax® 600 H.O. E-TEC and the Rotax 1200 4-TEC engines; REV-X platform variations with the REV-XR and REV-XU, as well as new touring models like the all-new GTX(i), and more.

Doug Sagan, co-owner and general manager of Factory Recreation of Midland, Ontario, will be celebrating 20 years as a Ski-Doo dealer this year. "After riding both the 600 H.O. E-TEC and the 1200 4-TEC powered sleds, it is clear to me that we now have a more competitive and complete product offering," he said. "These engines are cleaner and more fuel efficient."

With more than 5,000 dealers worldwide and product distribution in 80 countries, BRP has one of the largest dealer and distributor network in the powersports industry. Club BRP, held several times a year on different continents, is the traditional extravaganza event where dealers of one or more of BRP's recreational product brands come together with BRP top management, designers, engineers, marketing and sales representatives to view up close the latest product offering.
