Bruce Township Joins MITN Purchasing Group

ROMEO, MI--(Marketwired - June 25, 2015) - Bruce Township announced today that it has joined MITN Purchasing Group, a BidNet e-procurement system that provides vendors with an easier and more economical way to access and compete for local government bids.

MITN connects 1623 departments from 150 local government agencies and provides a bid notification system that gives vendors instant access to Bids, RFP's, Quotes and Amendments online. Bruce Township joined the MITN Purchasing Group on 6/24/2015, providing its vendors with convenient access to bid information for Bruce Township and all other participating agencies on the system.

Bruce Township invites all local vendors to join MITN and view its upcoming solicitations. Vendor benefits of registering on MITN include:

  • 24-hour access to local government opportunities
  • Notification customized to the vendors' products or services provided
  • Reliable and timely delivery of notifications, addendums and documents
  • Advanced notification of Term-Contracts
  • E-Bid and E-Quote Submission

"There are many benefits to participation in the procurement network and sharing resources with other agencies," said Susan Brockmann, Township Clerk. "As part of the MITN we will be able to save time and lower costs for both our agency and its vendors -- which is important to us."

The network was developed and is powered by BidNet, an Albany, N.Y. company that manages 15 government purchasing groups nationwide through its e-procurement solution.

Vendors who provide goods and services can register for the system to receive bid opportunities from Bruce Township and the system's other local agencies. Vendors register online at www.MITN.info.

"The online bid system is easy for our staff and vendors to use and improves process efficiency and transparency," Susan said. "Our vendors have centralized access to bid opportunities from multiple agencies, while we benefit from increased vendor competition and process automation."
