Bryan Chiu Will Be an Alouette Until 2008, Veteran All-Star Lineman Chooses to Continue his Career in Montreal

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - Oct. 25, 2005) - The 2002 CFL Most Outstanding Lineman and five-time consecutive CFL All-Star Bryan Chiu has chosen to stay in Montreal. Alouettes' Vice-President and General Manager Jim Popp announced today that Chiu has signed a three-year contract from 2006 to the end of 2008.

"Montreal is my home and this organization has treated me very well over the years," said Chiu, delighted.

"Bryan has been the CFL's top centre over the past five years," said Jim Popp. "We feel very fortunate that he has chosen to stay here in Montreal. His community involvement suits the Montreal Alouettes' organization perfectly."

Bryan Chiu started his career with the Alouettes in 1997. The Washington State product was a second-round draft choice, ninth overall.
