Bryant & Stratton College Launches New Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Services Administration in New York State

Albany, Southtowns and Syracuse North Campuses First to Offer Degree; Classes Begin January 11, 2012

BUFFALO, NY--(Marketwire - Dec 20, 2011) - Bryant & Stratton College announced today the launch of its first Bachelor of Science (BS) degree program in New York state. The College's Albany, Southtowns (Orchard Park) and Syracuse North (Liverpool) campuses are currently enrolling students in the new BS in Health Services Administration degree program with classes starting January 11. Bryant & Stratton College has plans to expand the degree to more of its New York campuses in the future.

"The launch of our first Bachelor of Science degree program in New York is not only exciting for the College, but for the communities our campuses serve," said Jeff Tredo, Director of New York State Campuses at Bryant & Stratton College. "Bryant & Stratton College has long been a leader in healthcare education offering several associate's degrees in related fields and the addition of the BS in Health Services Administration will allow students to continue their education and earn a four-year degree. With demand for jobs in healthcare expected to grow, this is a terrific opportunity to prepare students with the skills and training they need to build a sustainable career."

The Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Services Administration from Bryant & Stratton College provides students with a comprehensive knowledge base related to the management of health services and facilities, with emphases on finance, legal aspects in healthcare, disaster planning and management and information systems. The program also offers research opportunities and field experiences so students can gain insight into real-world applications of the information and skills they learn in class, helping them prepare to successfully transition into a healthcare administration or management career upon graduation.

In advance of the launch, the College enhanced the curriculum of its associate's-level degrees. Upon graduation, Bryant & Stratton College students who began in May 2010 or after may articulate credits from corresponding associate of applied science degree programs toward the College's new BS in Health Services Administration.

"Bryant & Stratton College is dedicated to offering lifelong learning opportunities and by giving students who earn an associate's degree a way to later come back and upgrade their education to a bachelor's, we encourage and promote the continued education of our graduates," continued Tredo.
