The degree will prepare graduates for entry-level assistant management positions in hospitals, nursing homes and doctors' offices. The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) estimates that the healthcare industry will add 3.2 million jobs through 2018, which makes a healthcare-related degree especially valuable in today's economic environment. Course credits from the Medical Assisting and Nursing campus-based programs may also be transferred into the new online bachelor's degree.
