BT and BT Infonet Deliver Managed IP MPLS and Conferencing Services for Epicor Software Corporation

EL SEGUNDO, Calif.--(CCNMatthews - Jan 19, 2006) -

Leading Provider of Integrated Enterprise Software Solutions Eliminates Multiple Network Service Providers; Supports IP Telephony with BT Infonet IP VPN Secure

BT Infonet, a leading provider of global communications services for multinationals, today announced a two-year contract with Epicor Software Corporation to provide a globally managed IP MPLS network for 14 Epicor sites. BT Infonet's multi-class, MPLS based IP VPN Secure service will be used to manage both voice and data traffic for Epicor sites in the U.S., Mexico, Asia-Pacific and Europe. In addition, BT Infonet is delivering Epicor employees a cost effective international audio conferencing solution using BT's MeetMe reservationless conferencing service.

For more than 20 years, Epicor has been a leader in enterprise resource planning (ERP), customer relationship management (CRM) and supply chain management (SCM) software solutions for midmarket companies around the world. The company currently serves more than 20,000 customers in more than 140 countries. Epicor chose BT Infonet as part of its effort to improve operational efficiency and network performance by consolidating its multiple network service providers around the world.

"It's been very helpful to work with a single partner on both our global network and conferencing initiatives," said Arline Breslin, director of telecommunications for Epicor. "Our MPLS service from BT Infonet has reduced data bottlenecks and improved the performance of our key applications, while our BT conferencing service gives us more access numbers in the countries we operate in at a much lower per minute rate than our previous provider."

"This contract is a great example of the power of BT and BT Infonet's joint proposition to multinationals," said Larry Malone, President of BT Infonet USA. "Other services providers couldn't match the reach and local support capabilities of our MPLS network, nor provide conferencing services to Epicor employees in as many countries around the world as BT could."
