BT Infonet Named Overall ``Best in Class'' In Managed Data Network Service Customer Satisfaction By Telemark; Named Overall ``Best in Class'' for 12th Consecutive Report

EL SEGUNDO, Calif.--(CCNMatthews - Jun 15, 2005) -

BT Infonet, a leading provider of global communications services for multinationals, today was named the industry's overall "Best in Class" in customer satisfaction in Telemark's latest benchmarking report on managed data network service (MDNS) providers.

Telemark's reports survey hundreds of IT executives from multinational enterprises using MDNS services. Findings are benchmarked in 32 individual categories, allowing comparison in customer satisfaction amongst service providers supplying managed network communications to multinational corporations.

In this latest report, BT Infonet was once again named the industry's overall "Best in Class" in customer satisfaction, and has now held this highest distinction for the last 12 reports spanning more than three years.

Specifically, BT Infonet was ranked highest in Ability to Meet Customer Requirements, Understandable Tariffs, Support in Local Language, International Installations, Adequate Data Throughput, New Product and Service Information and Understanding Customer Requirements. BT Infonet also exceeded Telemark's benchmark standard for all 32 of the critically important attributes evaluated in this report.

"Multinationals have consistently rated BT Infonet as one of the best providers for both MDNS and IP services. Over the past two years their overall satisfaction rating has even steadily increased -- further demonstrating the high level of service they provide to global enterprises," said Dr. Kerry Tomlinson, managing author of Telemark's MDNS benchmarking report.

"When it comes to customer care we made it our business to set high standards and deliver at higher levels," said Jose A. Collazo, chief executive officer of BT Infonet. "We're honored to be 'Best in Class' and appreciate the continued recognition from multinationals. It's a testament to our commitment to providing exceptional service to our clients. We fully recognize the difficulty of winning this 12 times in a row and accept this accolade on behalf of the entire BT Infonet organization."

BT Infonet is part of BT Global Services and they in turn were ranked highest by customers in five attributes -- Value for Money, Technical Support, Long Term Relationship, Bills in Currency of Choice and Third Party Equipment Integration.

In total BT Group received 12 category specific "Best in Class" honors.
