BT Infonet Successfully Passes Latest ISO 9001 Audit; Perfectly Clean Results from Independent Audit Certifies BT Infonet's Quality Management Systems

BT Infonet, a leading provider of global communications services for multinationals, has successfully completed its most recent ISO 9001:2000 audit with perfectly clean results (zero non-conformances). ISO 9001 surveillance audits of BT Infonet's quality management systems are conducted every six months by independent registrar Det Norske Veritas Certification, Inc.

A successful ISO 9001 audit proves that a corporation's quality management systems have been certified against the International Organization for Standardization's best practice standard and found compliant.

In this latest audit, 12 organizations, including BT Infonet's Global Customer Assistance Center, Global Network Security Operations and Network Control Centers in Brussels, Belgium, and El Segundo, were randomly audited based on a predefined sampling plan.

The audit included a review of departmental quality objectives, continual improvement processes, corrective and preventive actions, customer satisfaction survey results, document and data control, quality records, and adherence to departmental policies and procedures. The audit returned zero non-conformances, a rarity for ISO 9001 audits. BT Infonet has now received zero non-conformances for its previous three ISO 9001 audits.
