BT Selects HighJump Warehouse Management System

MINNEAPOLIS, MN--(Marketwired - April 14, 2015) - HighJump, a global provider of supply chain management software, announced today that BT has selected the HighJump warehouse management system to help BT drive further operational efficiency across the end-to-end supply chain operations that support BT Group businesses.

HighJump will work with BT Supply Chain providing end-to-end supply chain solutions across BT's lines of business and for selected external customers. Through the fulfilment of more than 40,000+ orders each day BT Supply Chain manages the fulfilment, testing and repair of home hubs, TV set top boxes and devices for millions of end consumers; provide tools and equipment to tens of thousands of engineers and businesses; undertakes inventory management across the BT Group businesses and much more besides.

With the HighJump warehouse management system (WMS), BT will have a tool that combines best practices for warehouse management with an industry-leading adaptable and flexible architecture. This allows for precise configuration of work flows and processes to match unique, operational needs. BT customers will be offered the same robust technology and configurability through the HighJump cloud-based WMS, which provides an elastic tool that can quickly scale capacity to accommodate changes in demand or seasonal spikes. Furthermore, the customers of the cloud-based WMS will enjoy faster implementation times, as there is no need for space, electricity, cooling, bandwidth, hardware and trained IT staff to install the system and perform maintenance and upgrades.

Nicholas Hale, Managing Director, BT Supply Chain commented, "We selected HighJump because of their modular approach of building a set of best practice processes that are tailored to reflect a mix of their end customer's requirements and an industry standard approach. We also felt a tremendous amount of confidence in this solution due to the depth of experience within the HighJump implementation team. The additional learning and understanding they were able to bring has proved hugely valuable during the early stages of design and deployment."

The roll-out of the HighJump solution is planned to take 14 months overall, and the benefits it will bring to BT and its end customers include quicker delivery and response times at an effective cost and improved real-time visibility of inventory availability across our network, further reducing physical movement of products across the network.

"This is more than a new and exciting customer for HighJump," said David Houser, Senior Vice President, International Sales at HighJump. "BT is one of the most branded and established companies on earth. They have tremendous reach and size and yet are nimble enough to satisfy the demands of the new consumer generation. Both as a customer and a partner, it is exciting to watch BT make significant strides as a leader in the 'new commerce' generation where the supply chain and warehouse operations become a critical success factor."
