BTH Agency Secretary Dale E. Bonner to Be Keynote Speaker at I.E. Economic Briefing

RIVERSIDE, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 20, 2007 -- Dale E. Bonner, recently appointed Secretary of the Business, Transportation and Housing Agency for the State of California, will be the keynote speaker during the 9th Annual Inland Empire Economic Briefing being to be held April 3, 2007 at the Ontario Convention Center.

"The Economic Briefing addresses prominent issues and questions about our local economy and provides data that is critical to our future growth," said Bob Dixon, editor of The Business Press. Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger appointed Bonner to the post in February. This will be Secretary Bonner's first public speech since taking office.

Bonner's department is critical to the future of the Inland region. The Business, Transportation and Housing Agency is responsible for allocation of the $19.9 billion in new transportations funds approved under Proposition 1B last fall.

Hosted by The Business Press, the event will also feature the region's preeminent economic forecaster, Dr. John Husing. Having studied the Inland Empire for 40 years, Dr. Husing uses his knowledge and extensive database to explain the economic factors impacting Riverside and San Bernardino counties. Dr. Husing will unveil his forecast for the year and present his most in-depth look at the local economy during The Economic Briefing.

Event attendees will also be the first to preview the results from the Inland Empire Marketing Best Practices Study.
