OTTAWA, ON and BOSTON, MA--(Marketwire - Mar 28, 2013) - BTI Systems, the software and networking leader empowering content and service providers to capitalize on trends in cloud services, mobility and Internet video, today announced that Vice President of Platform Solutions Chandra Pandey will speak at the Ethernet Technology Summit on Thursday, April 4, 2013, where he will discuss the realities of cloud data center connectivity. He also serves as the session's organizer.

At 8:30 a.m. PDT at the Santa Clara Marriott in Santa Clara, CA, Pandey will oversee the Forum 2A, "Ethernet and Cloud Computing" session. Other presenters taking part in this discussion include David Klebanov of Cisco Systems, Shehzad Merchant of Extreme Networks, Bruce Tolley of SolarFlare and Guillermo Ibanez of UAH (Spain).

BTI recently announced Intelligent Cloud Connect, an industry-first cloud networking platform designed to significantly improve inter-data center connectivity combining network intelligence and application awareness with significantly expanded capacity and scale. By doing so, it increases cloud connectivity performance -- quadrupling capacity and scale, reducing latency by half, and increasing network applications performance by as much as 10 times -- while significantly improving operational efficiencies, network control and service innovation compared to legacy solutions.

The Ethernet Technology Summit focuses on the use of Ethernet throughout the networking space. The summit, which consists of half-day tutorials, panel discussions, keynotes, workshops and more also covers topics of interest including design and development, fabrics, chipsets and components, security, delay and packet loss, convergence, big data, and market research.
