Vice President of Platform Solutions Chandra Pandey to Lead Discussion on Monetizing the Network

OTTAWA, ON and BOSTON, MA--(Marketwired - Dec 17, 2013) - BTI Systems, the software and networking leader empowering content and service providers to capitalize on trends in cloud services, mobility and Internet video, today announced that Vice President of Platform Solutions Chandra Pandey will be moderating a panel at PTC'14: New World, New Strategies, hosted by the Pacific Telecommunications Council. The conference will take place January 19 to January 22, 2014 at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort, in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Pandey will lead the topical session, titled "New Business and Models Monetization" on Tuesday, January 21 at 1:30 p.m. HST in the South Pacific Ballroom 2. He will be joined by a panel of industry experts from Google, Equinix and Comcast.

Data centers have become larger and more distributed to accommodate the explosive growth in traffic fueled by consumer and business demands. This dynamic is putting pressure on data center operators to scale capacity and performance while improving network utilization, operational efficiencies and service delivery. Notably, the corresponding growth in inter-data center network traffic is creating opportunities for new, innovative technologies that help extend data center virtualization and deliver new forms of revenue.

This panel will explore the challenges, requirements and opportunities in implementing new network architectures required by distributed, software-defined data centers. During this session, panelists will discuss the new architectures that will form the foundation for evolving business models targeted and focused on network monetization. For example, introducing network analytics and application awareness into the network infrastructure will enable new revenue generation models previously unattainable.
