Buckeye Power Sales and Building for America's Bravest Team Up to Make a Difference

Buckeye Power Sales Is Proud to Support Worthy Charities Such as Building for America's Bravest, an Organization That Builds Homes for Those Who Have Been Seriously Injured Serving Our Country; This Summer, Buckeye Power Sales Donated a Kohler Generator That Was Installed in the Home of Corporal Kyle Hockenberry

CINCINNATI, OH--(Marketwired - December 17, 2014) - On June 15, 2011, 19-year-old Corporal Hockenberry, a soldier in the U.S. Army 1st Infantry Division, was on foot patrol in Afghanistan when he stepped on a pressure plate IED. The blast sent him over a two-story building, ultimately costing him both of his legs and his left arm. Though he could have given up, Corporal Hockenberry chose to press on. He recovered from the blast with the love and support of his wife, parents and extended family.

Corporal Hockenberry's new home was built from the ground up to be completely accessible, making his life much easier. The Kohler Generator is the centerpiece of the home's standby power system.

"When Paul Ostby, president of CK Power, contacted me about a home that was being built in our area for a wounded soldier, I knew we had to do our part to show our appreciation for his sacrifice," said Tom Bohls, president of Buckeye Power Sales. "We're happy we were able to make life just a little bit more comfortable for Corporal Hockenberry."
