Buckhead Business Radio Features The Food Movement and ExecuPrep

ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwired - February 12, 2015) - On January 6th, 2015, Buckhead Business Radio welcomed to the studio Paul McKeon with The Food Movement, and Dethra Giles with ExecuPrep. Host Rich Casanova talked to these business leaders about their experiences in the Atlanta business community.

McKeon spoke about his management of one of the largest food truck commissaries in Atlanta. They have 12 food trucks and go to events all over the city. Food trucks have become one of the "popping" things in Atlanta. The Food Movement is a culinary event company and the trucks are owned individually, but they provide supervisory chefs, a large kitchen, waste water dumps, and security. They also have a fast-growing culinary team-building business at their event space called Team Building with Taste. It's like a corporate "Chopped" or "Iron Chef" competition, and over 200 companies have participated.

"We provide the infrastructure and we also provide a lot of marketing services," said McKeon. "So we book events, we market the trucks, we organize them, we do all of that. We sort of look at ourselves as an incubator. Because these are small businesses just getting started. We build their websites, we find them CPAs, we do all of that to help them succeed as a micro-business in Metro Atlanta."

Dethra Giles, founding partner of the ExecuPrep consulting firm, tells us more about the company's role in Atlanta. ExecuPrep is a performance management HR consulting firm. Giles consults for small to midsize businesses, helping them focus on their culture and growth. She is a keynote speaker, executive coach and national trainer on leadership, organizational development, conflict resolution and career development. Giles views every day as an opportunity for companies to become more successful and more profitable. She has helped Centers for Disease Control, Salvation Army, The Tory Burch Foundation, and many more organizations develop a customized HR strategy.
