Buford Veterinarian Releases New Website for Hamilton Ridge Animal Hospital

BUFORD, GA--(Marketwire - Mar 6, 2012) - Buford veterinarian Dr. Rachel Rodriguez and her colleagues from Hamilton Ridge Animal Hospital have just launched a new website and social media presence for the practice. According to Dr. Rodriguez, the main goal of the new website is to give pet owners here and throughout Hoschton, Dacula and Suwanee convenient access to a library of important health and safety information whenever they need it. She also hopes that families will use the site to interact directly with her and her fellow veterinarians whenever they have questions about their pets' needs for pain management, pet grooming and bathing, pet boarding, as well as junior and senior wellness care.

Dr. Rodriguez, who has been a Buford veterinarian for several years, says that education is one of the major purposes of the website. "A well-informed pet owner means a happier, healthier pet. A growing majority of people go online to research health conditions for themselves, so it's only natural that they would do that for their pets too. We've gathered as much information about animal health as possible online to help families stay current on information they need for their pets' well-being." The "Veterinary Topics" menu located on the right side of each page links to articles and video news clips on subjects ranging from pain management, animal surgery and pet dental care to junior and senior wellness care and keeping pet vaccinations current.

The animal hospital, which also provides pet grooming and bathing and pet boarding to its patients, included a "Member Topics" menu on its site that contains exclusive content for families with pets that are patients at the clinic. Dr. Rodriguez says registration is free of charge, and gives members access to a wellness program that focuses especially on junior and senior wellness care. A special "Pets4Kids" area includes coloring pages, games and puzzles to help teach children about the importance of good pet care.

Other areas of the website, particularly the New Patient Center tab, were designed to help save pet owners and veterinarians time with paperwork. Dr. Rodriguez says that people can print and fill out new patient forms, grooming release forms and the wellness program registration form at home so they can spend more time talking about important health issues during office visits. People can also set up appointments for checkups, pet grooming and bathing and pet boarding online, and email the staff with any questions they have about their pets' health.

Dr. Rodriguez says that the new blog and Facebook profile also provide ways for pet owners to interact with her and the other veterinarians and staff. "We will regularly update our pet health blog with important pet health issues like pain management, diet, exercise and so forth, and link that to our Facebook page. Best of all, we can use these venues to chat, to ask and answer questions, and foster community spirit for the health of our pets." The vet's new website is located at
