Buick and Cadillac to Offer Leasing for Canadian Customers

OSHAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Oct. 1, 2010) - In order to better serve their customers, Buick and Cadillac announced today they will begin offering competitive lease options to customers, effective Monday, October 4, 2010. Both brands have undergone a major renaissance, launching award-winning models that are strongly resonating with customers.

"This action supports our efforts to design, build and sell the world's best vehicles by allowing us to reach more customers through the full range of financing and leasing," said Kevin Williams, President and Managing Director of GM of Canada. "Both Buick and Cadillac are winning new customers through outstanding products and exceptional customer service."

"Our ability to offer competitive leasing marks an important step forward, allowing us to reach even more customers as we continue to profitably grow sales," added Williams.

Building upon strong retail sales growth, lease offers on key vehicles will significantly increase GM of Canada's reach to an important subset of customers where leasing penetration rates remain very high.

Buick offers a new class of world class, posting strong retail sales growth of over 36 percent this year. Growth is expected to continue with the addition of the newly launched Buick Regal. The Buick Regal's German roots have helped its platform capture major awards globally preceding its Canadian debut, namely European Car of the Year.

Furthermore, through dramatic presence and performance, Cadillac's prestigious luxury vehicles have grown retail sales by an impressive 75 percent calendar-year-to-date. Cadillac's strong growth has been led by incredible demand for the all-new 2010 Cadillac SRX luxury crossover, which has seen sales soar 465 percent.

Leasing will be offered through FinanciaLinx, Canada's largest independent national leasing Company.
