Bullhead Couple Claims $1.1 Million the Pick(TM) Winning Ticket

PHOENIX, AZ--(Marketwired - Apr 7, 2015) - The Arizona Lottery announces that the $1.1 million The Pick winning ticket from the drawing on Saturday, March 28, has been claimed. This is the second The Pick jackpot winning ticket claimed in the past week.

Bullhead City residents Donald and Carol Stonecipher always purchase a multi-line ticket for eight draws on The Pick. They buy two Quick Picks® and one line using their own numbers. When Donald discovered their ticket was the $1.1 million winner for the March 28 The Pick drawing, he told his wife, "I've got good news and bad news. The bad news is we have to drive to Phoenix, and the good news is we won the Lottery."

The winning ticket was purchased at a Safeway located at 1751 Hwy 95 in Bullhead City. The Stoneciphers selected the $718,954.20 before taxes cash option. The couple plans to speak to a financial advisor and currently does not have any plans for their prize money.

"It has been a very exciting week for The Pick jackpot winners," said Tony Bouie, executive director of the Arizona Lottery. "We are so pleased to be a part of these life-changing experiences."

The winning ticket matched all six numbers drawn. The winning numbers were 03-10-14-19-20-40, and the prize was claimed at the Arizona Lottery office in Phoenix.

There has already been more than $8.4 million awarded in prizes to Arizona The Pick jackpot winners within the first three months of 2015. The next drawing for The Pick will be Wednesday, April 8, for an estimated $1.1 million jackpot. Tickets can be purchased at any Arizona Lottery retailer.

Players must be 21 years or older to purchase or redeem tickets. Winners have 180 days from the drawing date to claim their prize at an Arizona Lottery office or by mail. Overall odds vary by game.
