Bumbershoot: Seattle's Music & Arts Festival Announces Samsung as 2007 Mainstage Title Sponsor

Bumbershoot to Take Place at Seattle Center September 1 - 3

SEATTLE, WA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 28, 2007 -- One Reel, the independent not-for-profit producer of Bumbershoot, has announced a newly signed agreement naming Samsung as the Title Sponsor of the Festival's Mainstage. The 2007 Bumbershoot: Seattle's Music & Arts Festival will take place over Labor Day weekend in the heart of the city at Seattle Center.

The Samsung Mainstage will host headlining performances over the three-day Festival and is the largest outdoor venue on Bumbershoot grounds. Previous performers include established alternative heroes such as R.E.M., the Pixies and Sonic Youth, generation-spanning artists like Steve Miller Band, Blondie and George Clinton & Parliament/Funkadelic, punk rock legends The Ramones and Iggy and the Stooges, cutting-edge acts such as AFI and Hawthorne Heights, and hip-hop icons Kanye West and A Tribe Called Quest.

"Samsung is proud to be a sponsor of such a premier music event with top name talent that reflects the leadership and cutting-edge design that Samsung brings to mobile phone technology," said Johnny Hart, Vice President - General Manager Strategic Accounts. "This sponsorship comes at a time when mobile phones are converging and being used more and more as music players, cameras and other electronic devices."

Samsung will activate its sponsorship through creative pre-event retail promotions and also plans to entertain thousands of employees based in the Seattle market at the event.

"Samsung and Bumbershoot each have a legacy of being leaders in bringing to the public the best in their respective fields," commented Heather Smith, Bumbershoot Producer. "The Samsung Mainstage sponsorship is a natural match for Bumbershoot, and we are thrilled to be working with them."

Bumbershoot's 2007 lineup and ticketing information will be announced in the months to come. More information available at www.bumbershoot.org.
