2008 National FFA Career Show Booths #338, 340, 342The Farmetrics® Prediction Market, an innovative way to gain critical information about planted acreage, yield and harvested acreage for a variety of crops, will exhibit at the 2008 National FFA Career Show, held in conjunction with the 81st National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Ind., Wednesday, October 22 to Friday, October 24. predictions for yield, acres planted and acres harvested for crops such as
corn and soybeans. Agricultural teachers determine in which of these
weekly contests their classes will participate. Class performance is
measured against that of other classes around the country by the accuracy
of predictions, as determined by official U.S. Department of Agriculture
statistics. The schools with winning classes earn Reward Points that can
be redeemed for award cards which can be used by the school to purchase
necessary goods and services.
