"The Farmetrics program has been an outstanding tool for my classes," said Chris Miller, ag-science teacher, Griggsville-Perry High School, Griggsville, Ill. "It's a way to demonstrate possible careers to our students and bring current events into the classroom. There are a lot of benefits not only to the individual students, but also to our school through the rewards program."

"We are delighted to return to the National FFA Career Show," said Dan Erz, Farmetrics representative and Grain Marketing Specialist for Bunge North America. "We look forward to meeting and registering FFA advisors and agricultural education teachers for the Farmetrics Educational Program. Students have the opportunity to learn more about agricultural markets and career opportunities through Farmetrics, while participating in an activity that may benefit their school."

At https://www.farmetrics.com/Scholar, student participants submit predictions for yield, acres planted and acres harvested for crops such as corn and soybeans. Agricultural teachers determine in which of these weekly contests their classes will participate. Class performance is measured against that of other classes around the country by the accuracy of predictions, as determined by official U.S. Department of Agriculture statistics. The schools with winning classes earn Reward Points that can be redeemed for award cards which can be used by the school to purchase necessary goods and services.
