Attention Business, Food, and Lifestyle Editors:

Burger King Restaurants of Canada, Inc. today announced that participating BURGER KING® restaurants coast to coast have expanded their breakfast menu to include three new items. Building on the HAVE IT YOUR WAY® brand promise, BURGER KING® restaurants will now offer Canadians more variety at breakfast, including freshly-brewed, premium Seattle's Best Coffee® along with two new morning meals: original BK Breakfast Bowls and a classic stack of Pancakes. In Canada, BURGER KING® restaurants serves their popular burgers throughout the day – including during breakfast hours.

"An increasing percentage of Canadians are eating morning meals away from home, so it's important for us to offer more choice and a wider selection of breakfast items in BURGER KING® restaurants," said Raj Varman, General Manager for Burger King Restaurants of Canada, Inc. "While we already had a diverse breakfast menu, including our popular burgers for breakfast, we are excited to expand our breakfast menu with these three new and affordable options to fulfill our guests' appetite for quick, tasty morning meals."

The new BK Breakfast Bowl is a hearty combination of scrambled eggs, sausage, southwestern-style roasted potatoes, grilled onions and peppers, topped with a three-cheese blend and a smoky cheese sauce. The BK Breakfast Bowl, served in a convenient, no-mess bowl, is unique to the Canadian market and is available at a suggested a la carte price of $2.99 and for $3.59 as part of the value meal with coffee. The BK® Pancakes include three warm, fluffy pancakes flavoured with a hint of vanilla and served with a side of margarine and syrup.

Starting September 6, BURGER KING® restaurants will now serve Seattle's Best Coffee® made with high-quality beans offering an approachable, premium taste. Seattle's Best will be available at restaurants across Canada at the suggested price of $1.19 for small, $1.39 for a medium and $1.59 for a large, and served around the clock at participating locations across Canada.

"Since coffee is the number one beverage consumed at quick-service restaurants in Canada, our operators are excited about Burger King Canada's new partnership with Seattle's Best Coffee," Varman added.

These new breakfast items will be added to an already hearty and affordable BURGER KING® breakfast menu, which includes the CROISSAN'WICH®, Hash Browns, the Enormous Omelette Sandwich, the English Muffin Sandwich, CINI-MINIS®, French Toast Sticks and BK® Breakfast Value Meals. To satisfy a lunchtime appetite early in the morning, BURGER KING® restaurants continue to serve a selection of burgers at breakfast, including the flame-broiled WHOPPER® sandwich.
