Burger King Restaurants of Canada Inc. Updates Nutritional Information Guide to Reflect Trans Fat Reductions on Menu

Updated Guide available online and in restaurants across Canada

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 18, 2009) - Burger King Restaurants of Canada Inc. announced today that its comprehensive Nutritional Information Guide has been updated to reflect the reduction of trans fats on menu items, completed in June 2008. The guide is now available in all restaurants and can be viewed online at www.burgerking.ca.

"Our Nutritional Information Guide represents the changes we made last year to ensure that all of our menu items meet Health Canada's recommendation to contain less than 5 percent of total fat as trans fat," said Cameron Loopstra, Senior Marketing Manager, Burger King Restaurants of Canada Inc. "Our customers can use the revised Nutritional Information Guide to make more informed dietary choices when selecting from the wide array of menu items."

The updated guide shows the reduced trans fatty acid levels in BURGER KING® products since Health Canada's last round of tests in January 2008. The comprehensive guide includes current nutritional information and separates ingredients into categories, allowing customers to locate menu items with ease.

"As always, Burger King Restaurants of Canada Inc. offers customers a wide variety of menu items with the option to customize their meals," Loopstra added. "Our HAVE IT YOUR WAY® commitment to customers allows individuals to modify their order to suit their dietary needs - and taste."
