BURGER KING® Restaurants support SickKids Foundation

Toonie Bear campaign features inspiring stories of local kids as part of fundraiser Attention: City Editor, News Editor TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Nov. 17, 2005) - BURGER KING® Restaurants across Canada will be taking part in a Toonie Bear Fundraiser in support of SickKids Foundation and The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids).

Up until November 30, customers can make a donation at their local BURGER KING® Restaurant. In return for their toonie, customers will receive a paper Toonie Bear that they can sign, personalize and display in the restaurant.

The Hospital for Sick Children plays a key role in saving the lives of children nation wide. The heroic stories of some of these children will be featured on tray-liners at participating BURGER KING® Restaurants across Canada during the Toonie Bear Fundraiser campaign. With more than half of the hospitals' patients from outside of the Toronto area, children from across the country will benefit from the nationwide campaign.

Toonie Bears are available for purchase both in-store and at the drive-thru window at participating BURGER KING® Restaurants.
