VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - April 1, 2011) - Hee Young and Sang Hyun Kim of Burnaby are still in shock after collecting a $1 Million MAXMILLION prize.
"Our heads are still spinning," said 49-year-old Hee Young. "We still can't believe it. We haven't even told our two children yet."
The couple managed to match 7/7 numbers on the March 11 LOTTO MAX draw to win one of 13 MAXMILLIONS.
Meantime, with no ticket winning last Friday's $50 Million LOTTO MAX jackpot, the game's top prize has been carried over to tonight's draw, which also features an estimated 8 MAXMILLION prizes of $1 Million each, giving players eight more opportunities to win a jackpot prize with each ticket.
LOTTO MAX:
- Draws held each Friday night
- Each $5 ticket features 3 chances to win (7 numbers each)
- To win a jackpot players must match 7/7 numbers (from 1-49)
- Odds of winning a jackpot are one in 28.6 million per play
MAXMILLIONS:
- When a LOTTO MAX jackpot reaches $50 Million, ticket sales fund additional $1 Million prizes called MAXMILLIONS
- Each MAXMILLION jackpot has its own separate draw following the main draw
- Players must match 7/7 numbers to win a corresponding MAXMILLION prize
LOTTO MAX can be played at all BCLC retail locations and online at PlayNow.com, with tickets available for sale until 6:00 p.m. (PDT) on draw day (Friday). Winning numbers can be found online at bclc.com following each draw.
