BU's Agganis Arena to Accept looped in™ Mobile Pay App at Concession Stands Starting November 17th

The UX at Agganis Is About to Get More Fun With looped in, the PIN-Based Mobile Pay App With Person-to-Person Payment, Group Buying, Deals and Deal Sharing

BOSTON, MA--(Marketwired - Nov 11, 2013) -  PXT Payments, provider of looped in, an electronic mobile payment system (watch the video), has partnered with Boston University's Agganis Arena. The Boston mainstay sports, concert, and event venue will accept the looped in app at all of its food and beverage stands. Fans should keep an eye out for looped in at games and events throughout the month.

"looped in mobile technology offers fans an enhanced user experience at the game, a quick alternative to cash anywhere, deals at the arena and around town, and can keep them in touch with what's going on at Agganis," said Kristoffer Brassil, general manager for Agganis Arena. "Fans can be on the lookout for looped in deals, games and even prizes." The app is geo-location based, so it is easy for people to find looped in merchant deals near Agganis before and after games, too.

Some students at BU already think looped in is perfect for college students. BU hockey fan Raeshell Martinez, a freshman marketing and management major, said looped in is very usable and relatable. "We've grown up using cell phones for a lot of things, so using one for payment is natural," Martinez said. "Using it at Agganis will be nice!"

looped in has college student fans all over Boston ready for Agganis to go live. Sports fan and looped in user Shanice George, a junior accounting and marketing major at Boston College, said using looped in at Agganis will make purchasing easier. Sometimes she can't even find her bank card, and doesn't like to commit to carrying a card. "looped in is the most efficient way to make secure payments in this day and age," George said. "And people will see the rewards for using looped in and want to use it."

looped in will be integrated into Agganis Arena's point-of-sale (POS) system, QuestVenueManager, so using the app is simple. When standing in line, fans will use their mobile number to pay instead of handing over a credit card. Then they simply key in a secure looped in PIN on their smartphones, and instantly receive a digital receipt.

Fans at Agganis can also benefit from the app's group purchasing feature. Friends waiting in line together at a concession stand can send money for the food they want to one person's looped in account. By the time it's their turn, the one friend can pay for the whole order at once, getting them all back to their seats faster.

"The college student and young professional markets are naturals for our mobile payment system," said John Regan, CEO of PXT Payments. "Through our partnership with Agganis Arena, we are working toward introducing looped in not only to Boston University students, alumni, and parents, but also to other merchants that want increased visibility from students and young professionals."
