Business Expert Tina Wang Joins Asia America MultiTechnology Association as Executive Director

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - May 1, 2012) - The Asia America MultiTechnology Association (AAMA), Silicon Valley's largest business network aimed at fostering business growth, entrepreneurship and capital investment in technology enterprises across Silicon Valley and Asia, today announced Tingxiu (Tina) Wang has been appointed its new Executive Director. Tina Wang has expertise in China-focused marketing and business development activities in Silicon Valley and China. Tina has worked with large consulting firms, banks, and venture capital funds focused on the technology industry.

Tina Wang, Biography
Tingxiu (Tina) Wang oversees the program development and operations of the Asia America MultiTechnology Association (AAMA), one of Silicon Valley's largest organizations dedicated to the Asia America high tech community.

Prior to joining AAMA, Tina led the marketing and business development activities for the Chinese Services Group at Deloitte LLP. Tina's experience also includes tenure as Vice President of Business Development for the WI Harper Group, a premier China focused early stage venture fund, where Tina was extensively involved in fundraising, investors relations, and developed a strategic marketing plan for the fund. At Silicon Valley Bank Tina worked in both the venture lending and technology banking sectors and was on the team that led the top 20 US venture capitalists in the landmark 2004 Silicon Valley Bank Venture Capital Trip to China.

A native of Shanghai, China, Tina had worked for Shanghai Hi-Tech Park where she provided consulting services and assisted multinational hi-tech companies to set up China subsidiaries. Tina earned her B.A. in Foreign Language and Studies from East China Normal University in Shanghai, Master of Public Administration (with honor) from Arizona State University, and M.B.A in International Business with Thunderbird Worldwide Scholarships from Thunderbird, the School of Global Management.
