Business Filings Go Mobile: CorpNet Launches Mobile Website

CorpNet Offers Great Example of How Small Businesses Can Tap Into Growing Mobile Opportunities on a Limited Budget

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, CA--(Marketwire - Feb 28, 2012) - CorpNet (http://www.corpnet.com), a leading online incorporation service that helps entrepreneurs start their businesses, today announced the launch of their mobile site. The new site gives busy entrepreneurs more convenience, letting them order their business formations and other legal filings on the go.

Considering mobile searches quadrupled in 2011 and mobile Internet usage is set to exceed desktop usage in the U.S. by 2015, CorpNet felt the urgency to cater to the growing mobile community. On http://m.corpnet.com, smartphone users can experience CorpNet on the go, with a rich, full-service website optimized for mobile devices.

For example, on the mobile-friendly site, entrepreneurs can browse CorpNet's services, learn all about different business structures, access CorpNet's small business resources, and even incorporate their business, from anywhere on any smartphone.

CorpNet had considered implementing a mobile site for several years, but had previously found the price tag associated with hiring a local or offshore development team too high to justify in the economic climate.

Instead, CorpNet CFO Philip Akalp was able to custom design and develop a full-service mobile site for less than $1,000, leveraging in-house and contracted graphic design resources. Additionally, he contracted a developer via Elance for custom coding to integrate with CorpNet's CRM software.

"Like so many other small businesses, we've been focused on staying profitable in a very rough economy. We saw a lot of businesses roll out their mobile sites in 2009, but for us it was too expensive at that time. Fast forward to today and the mobile opportunity is too large to ignore. Mobile searches quadrupled last year and we're just at the tip of the iceberg," explained Akalp.

"CorpNet serves as a great example that small businesses can go mobile on a limited budget. Several design firms quoted a fully custom mobile site for upwards of $50K. However, without understanding exactly how the mobile site would perform, we were looking to take smaller steps into the mobile world. Our implementation still gave us design control without having to make such a large investment," he added.
