Business Titans Jim Treliving and W. Brett Wilson Jump at FROGBOX Offering

Major Investors Fund National Expansion of Moving Supply Company

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Jan. 27, 2011) - Until now, the 50 million stressed-out Canadians and Americans who pack up and move each year have had few efficient, eco-friendly moving solutions. Vancouver-based FROGBOX,, which provides reusable plastic moving boxes and supplies, wants to make hassle-free, affordable and eco-friendly moving the norm in North America's major cities. The company hopes to attract a chunk of the billion-dollar moving market, and has secured capital from several big name and big money investors to help make it happen. The expansion will focus on selling a limited number of franchises to well-qualified candidates in major cities.

Currently operating in Vancouver, Seattle and Toronto, and recently named one of North America's "hot startups" by Entrepreneur Magazine, FROGBOX has now attracted two of Canada's most respected entrepreneurs - Jim Treliving and W. Brett Wilson, who have invested $200,000. Treliving is Chairman and owner of Boston Pizza International and Wilson is an investment banker and Chairman of Canoe Financial, a privately owned investment management firm. Both are panelists on the CBC television show Dragons' Den where FROGBOX made its successful pitch. Other investors include George Melville, who invested with Treliving and shares the title of Chairman and owner of Boston Pizza International, and Mike Tattersfield, CEO of Caribou Coffee, the second largest coffee chain in the US, who injected an additional $50,000.

"These investors bring not only capital, but also a wealth of experience in franchising and marketing," says FROGBOX founder Doug Burgoyne, who also holds an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business. "With their help we're well-positioned to attract quality franchisees to the team and bring our service to more North American cities."

"Doug has done a great job of creating a strong brand and a business concept that is perfect for franchising," said Treliving. "Given the size of the market, this business has huge growth potential," added Wilson. "That's why I'm in."
