B.V. Jagadeesh of NetScaler Named Finalist for Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2005 Award

SAN JOSE, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- May 23, 2005 -- B.V. Jagadeesh, president and CEO of NetScaler, Inc., was named a finalist by professional services firm Ernst & Young LLP for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2005 Awards in Northern California. A panel of independent judges, comprised of area leaders from business, academic, and civic organizations, selected NetScaler among 58 nominations submitted for Northern California. On June 17, 2005, Ernst & Young will announce the winners at an awards banquet at The Fairmont San Francisco atop Nob Hill. This is the second consecutive year Jagadeesh has been named a finalist for this prestigious award.

In addition to his role as president and CEO, Jagadeesh has served on the NetScaler board of directors since its inception in 1998. Under his leadership, NetScaler has experienced tremendous growth in one of the hottest segments in the industry, and now ranks second in market share only to publicly held F5 Networks.(1) In addition to more than 500 enterprise customers throughout the Global 2000, the company's customers include all five of the most heavily trafficked sites on the Internet.

A well regarded industry visionary, Jagadeesh has also built an impressive track record of competing successfully against much larger, well entrenched competitors. In a recent market study by independent research firm Frost & Sullivan, NetScaler ranked number one in total customer satisfaction among leading application networking equipment vendors. An impressive 76 percent of respondents in the study gave NetScaler a perfect 5-out-of-5 rating, more than twice that of second place Cisco.(2)

In addition to delivering traditional networking functionality such as server load balancing and content switching, NetScaler differentiated itself early on by introducing technology that significantly enhanced the performance of business applications running on corporate networks. Today NetScaler is the only solution capable of significantly accelerating the performance of "any application, to any user, anywhere" by up to 5x or more.(3)

Northern California winners will be eligible for consideration for the Entrepreneur Of The Year 2005 national program. Winners in several national categories, as well as the overall national Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year, will be announced at the annual awards gala in Palm Springs, Calif., in November 2005.
