DALLAS, TX--(Marketwired - May 12, 2014) - C. C. Young today announced that the 15th Annual Spirit Is Ageless Celebration Event was held on May 3, 2014 at The Point, Center for Arts and Education at C. C. Young in East Dallas. The special guest speaker was Terri Provencal, Publisher/Editor-in-Chief at Patron Magazine.
This annual art contest was open to both residents of C. C. Young and to the community, aged 55 or better. This year there were 14 categories of art highlighted and open for competition.
Last year's competition saw 112 submissions of art, and this year that number increased to 131 submissions throughout the 14 categories. 2014 winners range in age from age 57 to 96 in categories that include group projects, mixed media, photography, painting, poetry, wood sculpture, jewelry, and fiber arts.

"Since the inception of this event, it has focused on celebrating and showcasing the talents of artists age 55 or better, highlighting that the spirit truly is ageless."
