C-COM Appoints Eli Fathi to its Board

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Oct. 24, 2006) - C-COM Satellite Systems Inc. (TSX VENTURE:CMI) has announced today the appointment of Eli Fathi as Director of the Board.

"We are pleased to have Mr. Fathi join the Board of C-COM Satellite Systems Inc. Eli is an Electrical Engineering graduate of the University of Ottawa and has been involved in the high tech community for the past 25 years. Eli is the CEO of OrbitIQ, a business accelerator company and is also a founder of Telexis, the company that was acquired and became March Networks. Eli also serves on a number of local technology and business association boards.

We are looking forward to working with Eli at the board level and his years of experience with technology companies both from the standpoint of starting them and managing their growth will be an invaluable asset to C-COM" said Leslie Klein, President and CEO of C-COM Satellite Systems Inc.

C-COM also announced that Martin Aquilina has been appointed as Corporate Secretary. Mr. Aquilina is a corporate and securities lawyer practicing with the National law firm of Gowling Lafleur Henderson LLP.

The appointments of Mr. Fathi and Mr. Aquilina fill vacancies left by the resignation of James Duncan from such positions which became effective on the appointment of Mr. Fathi and Mr. Aquilina. Mr. Duncan will continue his involvement with C-COM in his capacity as an employee and C-COM thanks him for his service during the time he held the roles of director and corporate secretary.

These appointments are subject to Exchange and regulatory approval.
