C-COM Signs Joint Distribution Agreement with EMS Technologies

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - June 7, 2005) - C-COM Satellite Systems Inc. (TSX VENTURE:CMI) has teamed up with Montreal-based EMS Satellite Networks, a division of EMS Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:ELMG), to integrate and jointly sell its iNetVu Mobile satellite-based antenna system with EMS-developed DVB-RCS Satellite Interactive Terminals (SIT).

The C-COM-developed proprietary interface allows the EMS SIT line of products to work seamlessly with the iNetVu Mobile antenna. Vehicles equipped with this joint technology will be able to connect to the Internet over satellite at speeds of 12Mbps on the download and 2Mbps on the upload, and to receive and transmit high-quality video, voice and secure data communications.

"We are pleased to be able to offer our iNetVu Mobile self-pointing antenna solution to EMS customers worldwide. The combined solution will provide customers the ability to automatically locate their satellite of choice from a vehicle or moveable structure anywhere in the world in less than three minutes by a simple click of the mouse. "We are pleased to be able to add the C-COM iNetVu Mobile solution to the portfolio of products available to our DVB-RCS customers", said Don Osborne, senior vice president and general manager of EMS Satellite Networks. "Our system fully supports different grades of high-speed data, Voice-over-IP and video sessions for those Enterprise clients who need immediate access to the Internet while on the move. Now, customers can travel virtually anywhere within the satellite coverage area, arrive at any destination and be connected to the Internet at high speed within minutes".
