C.A. Bancorp Inc. 'TSX-V: BKP' Raises Gross Proceeds of $38.8 Million After Exercise of Over-Allotment for $674,490

C.A. Bancorp Inc. (the "Company")(TSX VENTURE:BKP) is pleased to announce that it has issued an additional 2,248,300 common shares for gross proceeds of $674,490 pursuant to the exercise by the agents of their over-allotment option.

Gross proceeds

Including the over-allotment, the total gross proceeds of the Company's recent public offering are $38,751,177.

Use of proceeds

The Company intends to use the net proceeds of the Offering: (i) to fund direct investments; (ii) to establish, invest in and manage private equity funds and structured products; and (iii) for general corporate and working capital purposes.

Trading information

C.A. Bancorp Inc. common shares trade on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol BKP. As of December 15, 2006, the closing price on the TSX-V was $0.31 per common share.
