CA Institute Chair Speaks in Windsor November 23

Discussing CAs Role in a Changing Economy

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 22, 2010) - The Chair of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario is highlighting the role of the CA profession in today's challenging economic environment when he visits Windsor on November 23. A partner with Grant Thornton LLP in Toronto, Greg Gallant, FCA, is available to provide background on the changing legislative and economic landscape in Ontario, from both the Bay Street to Main Street perspectives.

Among the CAs for Change topics Mr. Gallant can address are:

  • CA profession initiatives to address the challenges of globalization and demographic change.
  • The benefits of self-regulated professions to the economy and the general public.
  • How legal liability issues in the audit industry are affecting businesses of all sizes and constraining economic growth at a time when we need to keep Ontario businesses on the move.
