OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - June 9, 2006) - On June 14, 2006, David Flewelling, President of the Canadian Automobile Association (CAA) will urge that everyone using our roads and highways make a difference by eliminating or reducing distractions while driving.

CAA will also formally propose measures relating to license restrictions that will have a positive impact on incidents of distracted driving in Canada.

According to a study released in April 2006 by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the many forms of distractions are collectively responsible for as many as eight out of every ten crashes.

Mr. Flewelling will be available for interviews after his presentation.
