Cadence Announces Internet Availability of Proxy Materials for 2008 Annual Meeting of Stockholders

SAN JOSE, CA--(Marketwire - March 25, 2008) - Cadence Design Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: CDNS) today announced that proxy materials for its 2008 Annual Meeting of Stockholders are available on the Internet in accordance with the new Notice and Access Rule adopted by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) that allows companies to furnish their proxy materials over the Internet.

On March 25, 2007, Cadence mailed to its stockholders of record a Notice of Internet Availability of Proxy Materials containing instructions on how to access Cadence's proxy materials, including its proxy statement and 2007 Annual Report, over the Internet and how to vote electronically over the Internet, by telephone, or in person at the Annual Meeting. Cadence believes this new process should expedite stockholders' receipt of proxy materials, lower the costs of the annual meeting and help to conserve natural resources.

Cadence's proxy materials and 2007 Annual Report have been filed with the SEC and are available on Cadence's website at www.cadence.com/company/investor_relations. Cadence's stockholders may request hard copies of Cadence's proxy materials and 2007 Annual Report free of charge by following the instructions provided on the Company's website or in the Notice of Internet Availability of Proxy Materials.
