CAHPI(BC): BC Home Inspectors Award Winners Honored

VICTORIA, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - April 19, 2013) - At its Annual Spring Conference Awards Dinner in Victoria on April 12, 2013, the Canadian Association of Home & Property Inspectors (BC) - CAHPI(BC) - honored two long time Registered Home Inspectors.

The Bill Hopen Award is a BC Provincial Award dedicated to the memory of Bill Hopen, a founding member of CAHPI(BC) who provided much wisdom and insight during the association's formative years. This award is presented annually at the CAHPI(BC) spring conference to an individual who has furthered the development of the Home Inspection profession in British Columbia. This year's winner was WAYNE DEJONG, RHI, of Pillar to Post in Vancouver. Wayne has been a valued member of CAHPI(BC) since 2002, has served on the board of directors and contributed years of his time and insight to our CAHPI(BC) Legal Benefit Plan committee.

The Larry Hipperson Memorial President's Award is awarded at the discretion of the CAHPI(BC) President in recognition of exemplary service to CAHPI(BC) and its members. This prestigious award was presented this year to CHRIS STOCKDALE, RHI, of Home Sweet Home Inspections in Richmond. Chris joined our association in 2002 and has served on the board of directors as director, treasurer, vice president and president, as well as on the CAHPI National board.
