President and COO of Marriott International Inc., Mr. Arne Sorenson, paid a visit to the Cairo Marriott Hotel and Omar Khayyam Casino, one of the leading 5 star hotels near the Egyptian museum. The COO was warmly welcomed by all members of the hotel's Executive Committee, headed by General Manager Mr. Richard Zeolla.
During his visit, Mr. Sorenson toured some of Marriott International's hotels and projects in Egypt. As a part of his visit, Mr. Sorenson discussed deeper connections with and further investments in Egypt with the Chairman of the Holding Company for Tourism and Cinema (HOTAC), Mr. Ali Abdel Aziz, and the Chairman of Egyptian General Company for Tourism and Hotels (EGOTH), Mr. Nabil Selim. Also, Mr. Sorenson and Mr. Aziz witnessed the signing of the Cairo Marriott management agreement renewal by Mr. Nabil Selim and Mr. Ed Fuller, Marriott's President and Managing Director of International Lodging Operation. To complete his trip, Mr. Sorenson also visited the development of the future Nile Ritz Carlton site.
