CalAmp Announces New LNBF Receiver Product for Direct Broadcast Satellite Market

First Shipments Underway to Major North American DBS Service Provider


OXNARD, CA--(Marketwire - Sep 5, 2012) - CalAmp Corp. (NASDAQ: CAMP), a leading provider of wireless products, services and solutions, announced today that is has commenced volume shipments of its new, triple satellite, low noise converter / receiver (LNBF) for the North American residential Direct Broadcast Satellite (DBS) market.

This next generation triple-feed product incorporates a single local oscillator for enhanced reliability and simplified product architecture. As a result, the new receiver represents a significant cost savings over prior product generations. Product qualifications have been completed and CalAmp has begun volume production shipments to a major DBS customer.
