CalAmp and General Dynamics Broadband Forge Alliance to Bring Wireless 4G LTE Products to Customers Worldwide

OXNARD, CA--(Marketwired - Oct 15, 2013) - CalAmp (NASDAQ: CAMP), a leading provider of wireless products, services and solutions, today announced a partnership with General Dynamics (GD) Broadband to provide customized versions of CalAmp's high-performance, multi-carrier broadband routers for use with GD Broadband LTE communications systems supporting mission-critical public safety, defense and industrial applications worldwide.

The first product under the agreement is CalAmp's Fusion-LTE broadband router, which operates on the latest 4G cellular networks and provides users with high-speed communications for data-intensive applications. The multi-mode broadband router provides wireless data connectivity at 4G speeds in band 13 and 17 LTE networks. In addition, GD Broadband will offer band 12 and band 20 variants to enable access to privately licensed networks serving oil and gas, energy, utilities, public safety, defense and other high-end industrial applications. To ensure reliable connectivity, the multi-radio version of Fusion automatically falls back to 3G performance when 4G networks are unavailable.
