CalAmp Signs Agreement With Caterpillar to Supply M2M Wireless Communications Solution for Global Assets

OXNARD, CA--(Marketwire - Feb 5, 2013) - CalAmp Corp. (NASDAQ: CAMP), a leading provider of wireless products, services and solutions, has entered into a development agreement with Caterpillar Inc. (NYSE: CAT) to provide the world's leading heavy equipment manufacturer with ruggedized wireless routers that will enable vital data communications for equipment deployed around the globe.

Under the agreement, CalAmp is providing a customized version of its powerful Vanguard mobile wireless broadband router for multi-carrier operation on both CDMA and GSM networks around the world, as well as a satellite communication version of Vanguard for connecting with Caterpillar equipment deployed in remote locations without cellular coverage.
