Calgary Food Bank: Any Time's a Good Time for Chili - Especially If it Helps Put the Boots to Hunger!

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - July 12, 2012) - Got a hankerin' for a good bowl of chili? Well mosey on down to the Calgary Farmers' Market for a little taste testin' and help us Put the Boots to Hunger in support of the Calgary Food Bank.

The 4th annual Calgary Farmers' Market Chili Cook-Off is a relatively new addition to the events under the Put the Boots to Hunger tarp, so to speak! Championed by Calgary law firm Burnet, Duckworth & Palmer (BD&P), Put the Boots to Hunger aims to raise $500,000 in food and funds for the Calgary Food Bank, just during the week of Stampede.

Now's your chance to help us Put the Boots to Hunger, and it's a simple as a sample!

Drop by the Calgary Farmers' Market this weekend and try each of the chilis on offer. For a small donation to the Food Bank, you will enjoy samples of the not-so-secret chili recipes of five Market vendors, including a gluten-free version and a vegetarian option. All a Taster has to do is vote for their favourite. The winner, announced mid-afternoon on the 15^th, ropes the coveted Golden Spatula. Trust us when we say, this is not to be missed!
