Calgary Food Bank February Events

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - Jan. 31, 2014) - Feeling tired after the holiday season? Here are some great events that will energize your spirits and get you out there, all in support of the Calgary Food Bank!

Until March 10 - Skate to Win

Monday nights (excluding Feb. 17)

6:30 PM to 8:00 PM

The Olympic Oval - 2500 University Drive NW

Skate for free every Monday when you bring with you the designated Co-op Gold product for the month. For February, it's Co-op Gold Canned Fruit. You also have a chance to enter the Skate to Win contest, for monthly prizes as well as a grand prize of $1,000 Calgary Co-op gift card. All food collected will be donated to the Calgary Food Bank.

February 17 - Intact Family Day Skate

12:00 PM to 4:00 PM

Olympic Oval - 2500 University Drive NW

Admission is free to this skating party with a donation to the Calgary Food Bank! Come down for an afternoon of face painting, ice skating and bounce houses!

February 22- Kinsmen TaKin' Your Food to the Bank

10:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Crowfoot Safeway: 99 Crowfoot Crescent NW

Shawnessy Safeway: 70 Shawville Blvd SE

Westhills Safeway: 200 Stewart Green SW

The Kinsmen Club of Calgary is teaming up with the Food Bank for its annual Event. Volunteers will be on hand at three Calgary Safeway locations to accept food and monetary donations. This drive occurs during Kinsmen and Kinettes Week, marking over 90 years of their clubs throughout Canada.
