Bring your non-perishable food donation to this family friendly event and enjoy bouncy castles, face painting and truck-pull events!

City-Wide Food Drive

Get ready for Calgary's largest single day food drive where families and children volunteer to pick-up non-perishable food donations all day, across the city. This one day food drive happens at an important time of year when the Food Bank is heading into a period of high demand.

In 2016, too many people have too little access to food each day. Hunger Awareness Week is about raising awareness of the vital role Food Banks play and how we care for our friends and neighbours.

Transalta P.O.W.E.R. Retiree Garden

Tuesday, September 20, 8 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Since 1999, Transalta retirees have grown and harvested over 300,000 pounds of fresh food for the Calgary Food Bank! And with the generous amounts of rain, we are anticipating quite the harvest this year!

Doors Open YYC

Follow your donation's journey through our warehouse! The Calgary Food Bank is excited to participate in the 5th Annual Doors Open YYC -- a showcase of attractions and businesses around Calgary, providing free, behind-the-scenes experiences. The Calgary Food Bank is a working warehouse so for health and safety reasons we ask that Doors Open YYC visitors must wear closed toe, flat shoes and be 10 years of age or older (and must be accompanied by an adult).
