CANstruction Junior Display

Stephen Avenue Walk - 160 8 Avenue SE

CANstruction is coming to Calgary for the second time this year! Volunteers will be building a life-size Ram 3500 truck on Stephen Avenue on July 9 & 10- completely out of non-perishable food! The truck will be on display July 11 & 12; come on down to learn more about food insecurity and admire the very cool craftsmanship!

Farmers' Market Chili Cook-off

Calgary Farmers' Market - 510 77 Avenue SE

The Calgary Farmers' Market presents their sixth annual Chili Cook-off event, with farmers' market vendors cooking up their best batches of chili. For a cash donation to the food bank, participants will taste each chili, vote on their favorite, and will be entered into a draw to win a prize from the market!

Put the Boots to Hunger Events

Thursday, July 3 to Sunday, July 13

Check out community events in support of the Calgary Food Bank's annual stampede campaign and help us to Put the Boots to Hunger! The second annual Angus Cattle Run is set to go! This 5-kilometre fun run kicks off at Eau Claire and ends with a YMCA pancake breakfast! Join us for awesome door prizes and live entertainment; cowboy boots optional! Entry is a $20.00 donation to the Calgary Food Bank, and all proceeds help the Children's Milk Program.

Art for Food 2014

During the 6th Annual Art for Food Group Show and Sale, the Herringer Kiss Gallery will help the Food Bank to feed a family of four for a week with every $1000.00 of art sold. The gallery will also be accepting cash donations for the Food Bank.

Calgary Food Bank volunteers will be working at the Broxburn Vegetables stand in Crossroads Market every Sunday until Christmas! All proceeds and leftover produce goes to the Calgary Food Bank.
